What does the Bible say about finding grace in God's sight?

Answered in 4 sources

The Bible teaches that finding grace in God's sight is a divine gift, not a human accomplishment, exemplified in Moses's encounter with God.

Finding grace in God's sight is fundamentally about the unconditional love and sovereign choice of God towards His people. In Exodus 33, Moses asks how he and Israel can know they have found grace with God. The reality of grace is beautifully illustrated by the notion that God knows us by name and chose us before the foundation of the world, as noted in Ephesians 1:4-5. This grace is not something we earn but a gift freely bestowed upon those He has chosen. Just as God knew Moses and graciously interacted with him, all believers can find assurance in the same grace that makes them accepted in Christ.
