What does the Bible say about finding rest in Christ?

Answered in 22 sources

The Bible teaches that true rest for our souls is found only in Christ, who invites weary sinners to come to Him for relief (Matthew 11:28-30).

In Scripture, Christ explicitly offers rest to those who labor and are heavy laden, stating, 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest' (Matthew 11:28). This invitation encompasses all who are burdened by their sin and struggles, emphasizing that the only true and satisfying rest for our souls is found in trusting Jesus as our Savior. He promises that when we take His yoke upon us and learn from Him, we will find rest because His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
