What does the Bible say about flourishing in faith?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible illustrates that the righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree, symbolizing growth and vitality in faith.

In Psalm 92:12, the righteous are compared to the palm-tree, which is known for its upward growth and resilience. Just as the palm-tree reaches towards the heavens, true believers in Jesus consistently look to Him, directing their desires towards His person, blood, and righteousness. This imagery conveys that despite the trials and tribulations faced, believers will thrive spiritually, bearing fruit even in old age, as they find their sustenance and vitality solely in Christ.

Furthermore, the palm-tree flourishes in adverse conditions, signifying how believers often grow in grace when faced with challenges for Jesus’ sake. The palm symbolizes victory, as seen in Revelation where the church is depicted as holding palms in their hands, representing triumph through Christ’s atoning work. Therefore, those who are planted in Jesus and nourished by His grace will indeed flourish in their faith and bear much fruit, demonstrating the Lord's faithfulness and incorruptibility.
