What does the Bible say about following faith leaders?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible encourages us to remember and follow the faith of those who lead us in the Word of God.

In Hebrews 13:7, we are instructed to remember those who have spoken to us the Word of God, particularly our leaders and pastors. This remembrance is not simply a mental recall but an active engagement with their faith. We are to follow their faith, considering the outcome of their lives. This implies that their faith is rooted in the understanding and belief in Christ, who remains the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Thus, the call is to observe how they live out their faith in Christ and emulate that commitment in our own lives.
