What does the Bible say about full recovery from sin?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that through Christ, we can experience full recovery from the debilitating effects of sin, restoring us completely.

In 1 Samuel 30, we see a representation of the Gospel as David recovers all that was lost to the Amalekites. This account illustrates that full recovery means having the underlying condition of sin resolved, and being restored to full functionality in our relationship with God. Sin, which is likened to an incurable disease, breaks us down, leading to hopelessness and despair. However, the power of Christ provides a hope for full restoration, emphasizing that it is only through His work that we experience this recovery.
