What does the Bible say about Gentiles and their relationship with God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible describes Gentiles as those who were once alienated from God and without hope, yet they can now trust in Christ.

In scripture, Gentiles are often portrayed as heathens, or those who were without knowledge of the true God. Paul explains in Ephesians 2:11-12 that Gentiles were once 'aliens from the Commonwealth of Israel' and 'strangers from the covenants of promise,' lacking hope and knowledge of God. However, through faith in Christ, Gentiles are reconciled and included in God's promises, as shown in Romans 15:12, where it is stated that 'in Him shall the Gentiles trust.' This signifies a profound shift, where Gentiles are now able to share in the hope and grace offered by God through Jesus Christ.
