What does the Bible say about getting to God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we can only approach God through Jesus Christ, who is our high priest and sacrifice.

According to the Bible, particularly 1 Peter 3:18, it is through Jesus Christ, who suffered for our sins, that we are brought to God. The Scriptures emphasize the need for a mediator, and Jesus fulfills that role perfectly as our high priest and the ultimate sacrifice. He Himself stated, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me' (John 14:6). This signifies that all human efforts or works cannot suffice to bridge the gap between sinful humanity and a holy God; it is solely through faith in Christ that we can be reconciled to God.
