What does the Bible say about gifts from God?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that every believer receives grace and spiritual gifts from Christ for the benefit of the body of Christ.

In Ephesians 4:7, it states that 'unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.' This implies that every believer is uniquely gifted by Christ to serve His church effectively. The concept of gifts can also encompass spiritual gifts and saving grace. The spiritual gifts mentioned in Romans 12 are given to each believer, allowing them to contribute to the communal life of faith. Importantly, God's gifts come without strings attached; they are purely His grace intended for His people.
