What does the Bible say about glorying in our abilities?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we should not glory in our wisdom, might, or riches, but rather in our understanding of God (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

In Jeremiah 9:23-24, God explicitly says that we should not boast in our own wisdom, strength, or wealth. Instead, our glory should come from understanding and knowing Him. This counters the tendency to take pride in our accomplishments, which can lead us to forget that these are gifts from God. By recognizing that our abilities are given to us by divine grace, we shift our focus from self to God, leading to a deeper relationship with Him.
