What does the Bible say about glorying in wisdom and riches?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches us that we should not glory in our wisdom, might, or riches, but rather in knowing the Lord, who exercises lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness.

In Jeremiah 9:23-24, God explicitly instructs us not to glory in wisdom, might, or riches. These verses contrast the natural man's tendency to find confidence and hope in his achievements with the biblical understanding that true glory belongs to God alone. Instead, we are called to find delight in knowing Him and understanding His nature, particularly His lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness. This teaches us that our salvation does not stem from our strengths or intellect but from God's grace through Christ.
