What does the Bible say about God being a sanctuary for believers?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible describes God as a sanctuary for believers, where they find refuge and safety through Christ.

In Isaiah 8:12-14, God instructs His people not to fear any confederacy but to sanctify the Lord of Hosts, who will be a sanctuary for them. This is a promise that extends to all who trust in Him. Christ embodies that sanctuary, where believers can find protection from the overwhelming trials of life. Just as cities of refuge in the Old Testament provided safety for those in danger, Christ provides a secure place for His people amidst the storms of life. Those who dwell in Him experience peace and assurance, knowing that they are safe in His care.
