What does the Bible say about God knowing our sorrows?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that God is intimately aware of our sorrows and afflictions, as stated in Exodus 3:7.

In Exodus 3:7, God speaks to Moses, affirming, 'I have surely seen the affliction of My people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows.' This shows that God is not distant or indifferent but is fully aware of the burdens His people carry. He understands the emotional and spiritual pains that accompany sin and suffering, and as our Redeemer, He is committed to providing comfort and salvation. His knowledge of our sorrows is deeply relational, highlighting His tender care as a loving Father and compassionate Savior.
