What does the Bible say about God's charge to preach the gospel?

Answered in 1 source

God's charge to preach the gospel is found in Matthew 28:18-20, urging all believers to spread the good news.

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commissions His followers to go into all the world preaching the gospel to every creature. This charge reflects the call that God issued to Moses and Aaron to deliver His message to Pharaoh and the Israelites. Just as Moses was to deliver a specific message of deliverance, we too are called to proclaim the gospel, which is fundamentally a message of salvation and liberation for God's elect. The gospel is inclusive to all, as we are unaware of who God's true people are, but we are nevertheless responsible to share this message with everyone, leaving the results to God's sovereign will.
