What does the Bible say about God's confidence in His work?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that God will complete every good work He begins in His people (Philippians 1:6).

The Apostle Paul expresses in Philippians 1:6 that he is 'confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.' This foundational promise reassures believers that God's faithfulness guarantees the completion of His work in them. In principle, it emphasizes that once God calls a sinner to Himself, He remains committed to that sinner's faithfulness and preservation. This reflects the historic Reformed understanding of God's sovereign grace, whereby He effectively calls and sustains those whom He has chosen, ensuring they will not be lost.
