What does the Bible say about God's deliverance from sin?

Answered in 7 sources

The Bible promises that God delivers His people from the snare of the fowler, ensuring they are not caught in sin or are brought out if they are.

Psalm 91:3 assures us of God's deliverance from the snares that seek to ensnare us. God delivers His people in two vital respects: first, He prevents them from entering into sin's traps, and secondly, if they fall into temptation, He brings them out of it. This dual promise reflects His merciful nature; trouble can often serve as the means of that deliverance, guiding believers away from impending destruction.

In moments of distress, we may question God's actions, failing to see how sorrow can be a protective measure against greater evils. Yet, many find through their hardships that they were saved from destruction. The assurance is also present that, regardless of how far we stray, God's redemptive power is steadfast. Even for the backslider, the Lord calls to return, promising mercy and restoration. In essence, believers are never left to the fowler's net; they are granted the hope of eventual deliverance and joy again.
