What does the Bible say about God's joy in His people?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible says that God rejoices over His people with joy and sings over them, as noted in Zephaniah 3:17.

In Zephaniah 3:17, we find a beautiful depiction of God's affection for His people: 'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save: he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.' This verse illustrates the profound joy that the Lord experiences as He observes His people. His love and delight in His bride are so immense that they elicit a response of joyful singing from Him. Understanding this aspect of God's character deepens our appreciation of the relationship we have with Him, reminding us that we are cherished and loved by our Creator.
