What does the Bible say about God's protection for believers?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible shows God’s protection over His people, exemplified in Noah's experience in the ark.

In Genesis 7:16, we see God's protective hand over Noah as He shut him in the ark, keeping him safe from the flood. This act signifies how the Lord's electing purpose separates His chosen from the wickedness of the world. As believers, we are also shut in by divine love, securing our safety in Christ amidst worldly chaos. The analogy illustrates that just as Noah could not desire to leave the safety of the ark, those who are in Christ find perfect security and cannot truly desire to turn away from God's grace and presence.

Furthermore, this notion of being shut in represents our unity with God; being enclosed within the Trinity’s love means we cannot be touched by outside evils. Believers rest in the assurance that they are protected and guided by their heavenly Father. Ultimately, it is through faith in Christ that we understand our eternal safety, as emphasized in the teaching that once God has shut the door on His chosen, it remains shut against any evil or attempt of separation.
