The text explicitly states, 'But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy' (Genesis 39:21). This illustrates that even in trials and imprisonments, God was actively protecting and favoring Joseph. As believers, we can take comfort that God's presence is a constant in our lives, guiding, watching over, and leading us through every difficulty, much like a shepherd protects his sheep. Encouragingly, we learn that God’s gaze is always upon His elect, preserving them according to His sovereign will.
