What does the Bible say about God's rebuke and our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Christ has removed God's rebuke from His people through His work of salvation.

Scripture reveals that God's rebuke is a response to sin, as seen in passages such as Psalm 39:11-12. This rebuke is heavy upon both the sinner and the religious outsider, leaving them in turmoil. However, through Jesus Christ, God reconciles His people to Himself. Christ stands as our substitute, satisfying divine justice and putting away the sin that incurred God's rightful wrath. Because of His sacrifice, believers can rejoice, for the rebuke has been lifted and they stand accepted before God, as noted in Romans 8:33-34.
