What does the Bible say about God's sovereignty in our struggles?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that God is sovereign over all circumstances, using struggles to bring us closer to Him.

Scripture reveals that everything happens according to God's providential design. In Genesis 42, we see God orchestrating events in Joseph's life to fulfill His purpose and save many lives during a famine. Our struggles are often the means by which God gets our attention, highlighting our need for Him. As noted in Psalms 105:16-17, God sent Joseph ahead to prepare for the needs of His people. This demonstrates that in distressing times, we should seek Him, recognizing that nothing occurs by chance but rather under His sovereign control.
