What does the Bible say about God's sovereignty in our troubles?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that God is never unaware of our troubles and works all things for our good.

The Scriptures declare that even in our greatest afflictions, God does not slumber or sleep. For instance, in Isaiah 51:9-11, the prophet cries out in desperation, reflecting the heartfelt plea of many believers during times of distress. Yet, we are reminded by Psalm 121 that God will not allow His people to be forsaken. He actively preserves us and works all circumstances—even the seeming evil in our lives—for what? For our ultimate good (Jeremiah 29:11). Thus, in all our trials, we can rest assured that God’s sovereign hand is guiding us toward an expected end: salvation and peace.
