What does the Bible say about God's Spirit raising people?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible states that God's Spirit stirs the hearts of His people, prompting them to respond to His call.

In Ezra 1:5, we see that it was the Lord who stirred the spirit of the chief of the fathers, and the priests and Levites, to go up to build His house. This act of stirring is a clear indication of God's sovereign grace at work, as such inclinations are not generated by human effort but by Divine initiative. The same truth is echoed in Zechariah 4:6, which reminds us that God's work is accomplished not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit.
