What does the Bible say about God speaking out loud?

Answered in 1 source

God has spoken out loud in the past, notably at Jesus' baptism, but has not done so for nearly 2,000 years.

In the past, God spoke out loud on certain occasions, particularly during the New Testament, such as at the baptism of Jesus where God declared Him as His beloved Son (2 Peter 1:16-17). However, since that time, God has chosen not to speak audibly, instead conveying His message through the scriptures and the person of Jesus Christ. This reflects a deliberate act of God to reveal Himself through His Word rather than through continuous audible communication.
