What does the Bible say about going through deep waters?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that those who go through deep waters will see the works of the Lord and His wonders, receiving comfort and ultimately being brought out of their distresses.

Psalm 107:23-24 illustrates that those who go down to the sea in ships, engaged in deep waters, witness the great works of the Lord. In verse 28, we are assured that when they cry unto the Lord, He brings them out of their distresses. This emphasizes the sovereignty of God over trials and tribulations, highlighting that every one of God's people will go through challenging times. However, those trials serve a purpose, preparing their faith and leading them to appreciate God's deliverance when He calms the storm.
