The Bible teaches that grace cannot be bought or earned; it is a free gift from God.

Romans 11:6 emphasizes this by stating that if grace is earned by works, then it is no longer grace. Just as Joseph would not accept his brothers' money, God does not accept our works as payment for salvation.
