What does the Bible say about growing in grace and knowledge?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that growth in grace and knowledge comes through the life, work, and power of Jesus Christ in believers.

In 2 Peter 3:18, we are instructed to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This growth is not something we achieve on our own but is a result of Christ's effectual grace working within us. As we increase in our understanding of who Christ is—His nature, work, and sovereignty—we also experience a corresponding growth in grace. The two are interconnected; the more we know Christ, the more we grow in His grace, as Christ fills us with wisdom and power through the Spirit. Thus, growth in grace and knowledge should be the continual aim of every Christian.
