What does the Bible say about having an altar as Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Christians have a spiritual altar in Jesus Christ, which replaces the Old Testament altar.

The Bible indicates that Christians have a unique altar that diverges from the material altars of the Old Testament. In Hebrews 13:10, it states, 'We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.' This signifies that the altar of Judaism, representing types and shadows, has been fulfilled in the reality of Jesus Christ. He is our altar, where we offer spiritual sacrifices of praise, as seen in Hebrews 13:15. Unlike the physical altars of the past, which demanded animal sacrifices, our altar is spiritual, and our offerings are of thanksgiving and praise through Christ.
