What does the Bible say about heaven as our inheritance?

Answered in 1 source

Heaven is our eternal inheritance purchased by Christ's blood, and we can taste its grace now through the Spirit.

The Bible teaches that heaven is our eternal inheritance, a promise made possible through the sacrificial blood of Christ. In Ephesians 1:11-14, Paul describes how believers have obtained this inheritance and have received the earnest of it in the form of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers during their earthly journey. This inheritance signifies a relationship with God and the hope of eternal life, which is assured by God's unchanging promise.

However, the journey to our eternal home is fraught with trials and challenges. As stated in Hebrews 11:18-24, while we may face adversity from both external enemies and internal unbelief, God's grace remains sufficient. We must persevere in faith, being reminded that the struggles we face in this life serve to deepen our reliance on God and prepare us for the glory that awaits us in heaven.
