What does the Bible say about hidden treasures?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible describes hidden treasures as the unsearchable riches of Christ and the glory of God revealed in the Gospel.

In Colossians 2:1-10, the Apostle Paul speaks of a divine treasure that is hidden in God, which encompasses the glory and heart of God in the person and work of Jesus Christ. This hidden treasure, also referred to in Ephesians 3:8, is not obvious to the natural man but is revealed through the Gospel. This treasure includes God's eternal purpose of grace, which was hidden in His counsel before the world began, and is now made manifest by Christ's appearing. The revelations contained within scripture, such as the types and shadows of the Old Testament, culminate in Christ, the ultimate fulfilment of all God's promises and purposes.
