What does the Bible say about honor due to God?

In Proverbs 26:1, it states that 'as snow in summer and as rain in harvest, so honor is not seemly for a fool.' This reflects the unnaturalness of offering honor to one who does not recognize its value. God's majesty and glory deserve recognition and reverence, yet a fool disregards this significance. The Lord desires for His creation to understand and respond to His glory, a response that honors Him appropriately.
