What does the Bible say about how good you have to be to get to heaven?

Answered in 1 source

To get to heaven, you must be as good as God, as He commands us to be holy.

The Bible teaches that we must be as good as God to enter heaven, as outlined in 1 Peter 1:16, 'Be ye holy; for I am holy.' This is not a suggestion but a divine decree. However, since no sinner can meet this standard on their own, it is only through the perfect obedience and righteousness of Jesus Christ, our substitute, that we can be made holy. His righteousness transforms us, allowing sinners to stand before God as acceptable.
