What does the Bible say about how the Lord saves a sinner?

According to scripture, salvation comes exclusively from the Lord Jesus Christ and is always by grace. It is not determined by human works or the will of man, but entirely through the sovereign work of God. Our natural tendency is to view ourselves as unworthy of salvation and to rely on our own efforts, but the truth is that salvation is a gift from God, accomplished through the death and resurrection of Christ.
