What does the Bible say about humility and exaltation?

Scripture emphasizes the principle that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Joseph's story exemplifies this truth; he demonstrates humility by acknowledging that the interpretation of dreams belongs to God. His recognition of God's sovereignty in his life positions him for eventual exaltation.
