What does the Bible say about ignorance of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that ignorance of Christ leads to a lack of understanding regarding salvation and God's grace.

In Acts 3:17, the Apostle Peter addresses the people by saying they acted out of ignorance regarding Jesus Christ. The majority of the world lacks knowledge about who Christ is and what He accomplished through His death and resurrection. This ignorance prevents them from accepting the truth of the gospel and recognizing their need for a Savior. According to John 17:3, eternal life is rooted in knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent; therefore, ignorance of Christ fundamentally hinders one's ability to experience this life.
