What does the Bible say about imagination and revelation?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that imagination, especially after the fall, leads to twisted and sinful thoughts, whereas revelation from God reveals truth.

According to Genesis 6:5, after Adam's sin, every imagination of man's heart was only evil continually. This indicates that our imagination is prone to distortion and sin. In contrast, revelation from God, particularly through Christ, reveals the truth about who God is and what He has accomplished for His people. Revelation is not merely facts about God but is fundamentally about the person of Jesus Christ and what He has done for our salvation.
