What does the Bible say about inheritance for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that believers have an inheritance in Christ, akin to the land promised to Israel, which requires active faith to fully possess.

Christian inheritance, as depicted in Scripture, parallels the ancient Israelites' conquest and enjoyment of the Promised Land. Canaan represents God's rich grace and provision for His people, a free gift, yet it requires our active participation to fully occupy and experience. Just as Israel had to engage in battles to claim their inheritance, Christians are also charged with the responsibility to strive and labor in their spiritual lives to enter into the fullness of the life promised in Christ. As Hebrews 4:11 states, 'Let us therefore strive to enter into that rest,' emphasizing the need for diligence in faith and obedience to fully enjoy our divine heritage.
