What does the Bible say about Jesus as a priest?

In Hebrews 8, Jesus is identified as a high priest who sits at the right hand of God, ministering in the true sanctuary of heaven rather than the earthly tabernacle. This highlights His role as a mediator of a better covenant established on better promises (Hebrews 8:6).
