What does the Bible say about Jesus being lost?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible does not say Jesus is lost; rather, it emphasizes that humanity is lost and in need of salvation.

The idea of Jesus being lost is contrary to Scripture. The Bible does not depict Jesus as needing to be found by humanity; instead, it illustrates that mankind is the lost one. Romans 3:11 states, 'There is none that seeks after God.' This portrays the reality that individuals in their sinful state are unable to seek God unless He first intervenes in their lives. In Luke 15, Jesus himself shares the parable of the lost sheep, showing that the shepherd (representing Christ) actively seeks the lost sheep, not the other way around. This reinforces the notion that our salvation is entirely dependent on Jesus's proactive pursuit of us.
