What does the Bible say about Jesus Christ's knowledge of His people?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ knows His people intimately and has always known them.

Scripture declares, 'The Lord knoweth them that are His' (2 Timothy 2:19). This intimate knowledge of Christ towards His people is central to the understanding of the elect. Unlike those who claim to have done works in Christ's name but are rejected by Him with the words, 'I never knew you,' the true believers have assurance in the personal relationship and knowledge Christ has of them. This emphasizes that salvation is not based on human effort or recognition but on His sovereign grace and foreknowledge.
