What does the Bible say about judgment for sin?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that God's judgment against sin is absolute and severe, exemplified by the crucifixion of Christ where he bore the sins of His people.

Scripture consistently portrays God's judgment as just and inescapable due to His holiness. From the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and ultimately the crucifixion of Jesus, God's attitude toward sin is clear. Calvary is the apex of God's judgment, where all iniquities of God's people were charged to Christ, resulting in Him experiencing the full weight of divine wrath on behalf of sinners. Thus, the Bible demonstrates that while sin invites judgment, grace through Christ provides a way for those who believe to be forgiven.
