What does the Bible say about keeping God's covenant?

Answered in 1 source

Keeping God's covenant means to embrace and hold tightly to the gospel of grace revealed in Scripture.

In Psalm 25:10, we learn that all the paths of the Lord are filled with mercy and truth for those who keep His covenant. To keep the covenant does not mean to obey it in the sense of performing works but rather to have a grasp on it, to treasure it, and to ensure that it remains integral to one's life. This is akin to a heartfelt acceptance of the gospel, which signifies a profound relationship with Christ who fulfilled the covenant on our behalf. Those who keep His covenant are those who have recognized their salvation through faith and desire to protect the integrity of that relationship, as reflected in John 14:21-23 where love for Christ is shown through the keeping of His commandments.
