The Bible instructs us to keep our heart with all diligence, as it is the source of our life.

Proverbs 4:23 emphasizes the importance of guarding our hearts, stating, 'Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.' This means we must be vigilant in directing our thoughts and affections toward what is good and righteous, avoiding distractions that lead us away from the truth of God. Our hearts are deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9), and therefore, we are reminded to regularly examine our thoughts and intentions against God's standard.
