What does the Bible say about knowing the Father?

In John 16:25-27, Jesus conveys the importance of direct knowledge of the Father, stating that He will reveal the Father plainly. This revelation is crucial because true understanding of God's character and attributes is necessary for faith. Many may acknowledge God's greatness and omniscience, but they often lack a deeper understanding of His justice, mercy, and the reconciliation offered through Christ. As Matthew 11:27 tells us, no one can know the Father except the Son and those to whom He reveals Him. Therefore, our understanding of God should come through Christ, who reveals the Father’s heart and character.
