What does the Bible say about learning to hate with wisdom?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, which includes a hatred for evil and all that opposes God's holiness.

Proverbs 8:13 states, 'The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil, pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate, says the Lord.' This introduces the concept that to truly understand wisdom, one must also recognize what God detests. Learning to hate what God hates allows us to align our hearts with His and begins with a humble recognition of our own sinfulness and the holiness of God. This isn't about harboring bitterness, but about developing a righteous disdain for all that tarnishes true worship and disobeys God's Word.
