What does the Bible say about looking to God for direction?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that God is our Master and we should look to Him for guidance in our lives.

Psalm 123 illustrates the believer's position as a servant of God, looking to Him for direction. Just as a servant looks to the hand of their master for guidance, so believers should keep their eyes fixed on the Lord, waiting for His commands. In a spiritual sense, Christians recognize that God's kingdom is a benevolent dictatorship where His will reigns supreme. This means that we do not choose our paths but rely on His instruction. We should be mindful not to take steps without His direction, trusting that He knows what is best for us as His chosen people.
