What does the Bible say about losing and winning in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

In Christ, losing worthless things leads to gaining everything of value.

The Bible teaches that in Christ, any loss is ultimately a gain. Philippians 3:4-10 illustrates that believers must lose their trust in the flesh—in our own righteousness, traditions, and works—before we can genuinely gain Christ. The things we lose are of no true value, while what we gain in Christ is eternal and priceless. Paul exemplifies this by recounting his own past reliance on religious achievements and heritage, only to conclude that they are mere 'dung' compared to knowing Christ.
