What does the Bible say about losing your life for Christ?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible teaches that losing your life for Christ's sake leads to true salvation (Mark 8:35).

In Mark 8:35, Jesus states that 'whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the Gospel's, the same shall save it.' This paradox emphasizes that our pursuit of self-preservation and worldly comforts will ultimately lead to loss. Conversely, surrendering our lives to Christ and prioritizing the Gospel aligns us with His will and grants us eternal life. Christians are called to view life through the lens of Christ's sacrifice, where true fulfillment is found in self-denial and service to Him.
