What does the Bible say about love and service to others?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that love compels believers to serve others wholeheartedly and generously.

In 3 John 7-8, we see that true love for Christ motivates believers to serve their fellow brothers and sisters, especially those who are not known to them. The apostle John emphasizes that the act of ministering to these individuals is a reflection of the love of Christ that has transformed their own lives. Just as Christ showed sacrificial love, believers are called to demonstrate this same love by supporting and serving one another — not out of obligation, but out of genuine love for Christ and His mission.
