What does the Bible say about loyalty to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that true loyalty to Christ flows from recognizing our utter dependence on Him for salvation.

Loyalty to Christ is exemplified in the relationship between David and Attei the Gittite. Just as Attei pledged his unwavering support to David during a time of adversity, true followers of Christ are those who realize that their eternal destiny hinges on their relationship with Him. This loyalty is born from an understanding that whatever transpires in our lives is intrinsically tied to what Christ has accomplished. Romans 8:32 clearly affirms this relationship, stating that since God did not spare His own Son for us, we can trust that He will graciously give us all things in Christ. Therefore, genuine loyalty to Christ reflects a desire to dwell in His presence and to be united with Him in life and death.
