What does the Bible say about making plans for tomorrow?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible advises against boasting about tomorrow, as we cannot know what a day will bring (Proverbs 27:1).

Proverbs 27:1 warns us not to boast about tomorrow because we do not know what it holds. This teaches us humility and a reliance on God's sovereignty over our lives. While planning is essential, it must be accompanied by an understanding that our plans are subject to God's will. James 4:13-15 reinforces this idea, reminding us that life is like a vapor, fleeting and uncertain, and we must say, 'If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.' It's important to make responsible plans but without the illusion of control, recognizing that the future is ultimately in God's hands.
